Moyno, Inc. Launches New Moyno® PowerFlow™ High Performance Process Pump Line

Moyno, Inc. has developed a new, high performance process pump for demanding applications. Designed for highly viscous, abrasive or corrosive applications, the Moyno PowerFlow pump outperforms alternative positive displacement pumps when handling adhesives and sealants, paints and coatings, paper starch, asphalts, polymers, resins, plastics, food products, pharmaceuticals and petroleum, as well as chemical and industrial waste.

The Moyno PowerFlow pump delivers superior pumping performance, lower maintenance and longer life as a result of its hardened tool steel or hardened 17-4 PH stainless steel pumping elements. Moyno's new, proprietary manufacturing process capabilities ensure higher stator profile tolerances that enable the Moyno PowerFlow pump to effectively handle thin, water-like liquids.

Additional benefits of the Moyno PowerFlow pump's metal stator include the ability to handle fluids with temperatures up to 500° F. Significant fluctuations in fluid temperature pose no problem for this pump, extending the application range, particularly when high temperature batch clean-up processes are required. The breadth of fluids that can now be pumped with the Moyno PowerFlow has been significantly extended with the availability of a broader range of metal stator materials. Higher differential pressure, up to 1,500 psi, is easily achievable with the Moyno PowerFlow pump, and flow rates up to 400 GPM are available.

The new Moyno PowerFlow pump features a proprietary mechanical seal specifically designed for heavy-duty applications. This proprietary, single mechanical seal offers significant advantages over alternative approaches and features:

  • A positively driven dynamic face
  • An anti-rotation pin on the stationary face
  • Hard seal faces with thick cross sections to handle high starting torques and extend seal life
  • Sealed compression springs that are outside the fluid flow
  • Forward positioning for effective fluid circulation around seal faces
  • Designed for easy installation and reduced maintenance costs.
