Moyno, Inc. recently introduced a new line of Annihilator grinders, designated the Series 4, for even greater cutting capability. The new Moyno Series 4 Annihilator grinder now offers new features including optimized cutter combinations, one-piece flange housing and a quick change cutter cartridge. Annihilator grinders protect downstream equipment from being plugged or damaged from large solids, reducing expensive repairs.
The Series 4 Annihilator features a quick change cutter cartridge that ensures fast, easy replacement of the cutter assembly for reduced downtime and lower maintenance cost. There are no flange bolts to disconnect on the Series 4 Annihilator due to its one-piece flange housing, making overall repairs easier and quicker.
The Moyno Annihilator utilizes the field-proven counter-rotating, hexagonal shaft design with intermeshing cutters and spacers. However, the Moyno Annihilator vastly increases the cutting capabilities of other grinders by utilizing cutting teeth on the spacers, thereby improving the cutting efficiency while decreasing the particle size processed through the unit. The patented design also eliminates the greatest cause of failure of conventional units - that of stringy material wrapping around the spacers, causing seal failure, mechanical seizure and ultimately, shaft fracturing. Moyno Annihilators dimensionally retro-fit other twin shaft grinders and are easily adaptable to existing channel and pipe works with little or no modifications.
